We’re hiring an Impact Manager to lead our storytelling and data-driven impact strategies at Sunshine Cinema, a solar-powered cinema network run by youth entrepreneurs across Southern Africa. The position is hybrid (working from home and at our offices in Muizenberg, Cape Town)
As our Impact Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping how we measure and communicate the impact of our media initiatives. You’ll develop and implement reporting and evaluation strategies that highlight the stories of transformation emerging from our solar-powered film screenings and youth training programs across South Africa, Zimbabwe, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Engaging deeply with our media programs to capture and communicate their impact.
- Developing data collection tools and policies that respect dignity and confidentiality.
- Leading Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning (MERL) strategies to ensure our programs drive social change.
- Training and managing our team in data collection and analysis.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and conducting site visits.
Who We’re Looking For:
A driven strategic thinker with a passion for social impact and storytelling.
Strong experience in qualitative research, data management, and impact assessment. Excellent communication skills, able to turn data into compelling narratives. A collaborative leader with team management experience.
